Parent Involvement & Due Process Rights

The purpose of this chapter is to outline efforts to involve parents in the special education process and to outline due process procedural rights.

Disputes between parents and District 622 will occur when planning education programs and services for students with disabilities. In these circumstances, the district encourages parents or other persons to first contact the buildings special education coordinator, then supervisor and lastly the district’s Director of Special Education, who may be able to help resolve the issue.
