Special Education Program Evaluation- Access a copy of the District 622 Special Education Audit conducted in December 2007. (This will take several seconds to open.)

Special Education is a mandated service available to children with disabilities, birth through age 21. The child must meet the special education criteria for one of the disability categories and be in need of special education services. Before a special education referral is made, interventions are tried in the regular education classroom to assist the child in being successful. If the interventions fail, an evaluation can be made by a school psychologist to determine the need for special education. Parental referrals for this evaluation may also begin the process.

Services provided by special education staff may include:

  1. Parental Rights- English
  2. Parental Rights- Spanish
  3. Parental Right- Hmong
